The dictionary was first released in 1998 and was based
on the 3rd. Edition 'Big Book' although it did not include
words from any personal stories beyond the first 3 because the coming 4th. edition was soon to be released which would replace many of the 3rd. Ed. 'Big Book' stories.  When the 4th. Ed. 'Big Book' was released, words from all stories were then included in subsequent printings of The Little Big Book Dictionary - which remains as useful as ever for the first 192 pages of the 3rd. Ed. 'Big Book'.

The problem:  Standard dictionaries are troublesome for many.  One finds oneself seeking definitions for the words used to define the word one is seeking a definition for - ad infinitum.  Also, the seeming hieroglyphics of pronunciation guides can often be of little help to many.  Also some words in the writings of recovery related materials do not follow the more standard definitions for the words.  For example:  the AA beam is not something related to scales, nor is it a steel or wooden support structure.  There are more similar examples.
The solution:   'The Little Big Book Dictionary'  ( LBBD )  and    'The Little 12 N 12 Dictionary'

The work:  Check every usage in the text material of every word included in the dictionary to insure definitions and synonyms are most appropriate and indeed - correct.  Reduce definitions to a most simple form.  Try not to include words in definitions that one might include in the dictionary itself were it used in the text of the book.
